Congratulations: JAKE!!!
It was the spring of 2021, around 2 am server time, as Los and I watched in amazement. Jake had gotten mad and he was going to make Majestic Tiger pay. We were swapping with MT, Lord Babak was being Lord Babak, and MT had put up a statue. There were only a couple of us online and there was a high attrition sector that was open but not essential to the swap. Jake decided to take it to teach MT a lesson.
So he did.
Almost single-handedly, Jake went after that sector with brutal determination and all the goods he could muster. Los and I did our best to round up goods and fill the trades he posted. I couldn’t hold back and jumped in to help a bit and to heck with my attrition. Jake was too heroic to leave on his own, but make no mistake—he absolutely took the bulk of that sector all on his own, and KT took first for the season.
We coined the move the Jake Colvin: taking a whole sector on your own and showing another guild who’s boss. Recently he did it again, securing a border sector we desperately needed to take when War Dogs went on an early-morning rampage.
That’s Jake: honorable, fierce, and competitive in interactions with other guilds, funny and kind with his guildmates. He looks out for us, defends us, always acts with our best interests at heart. When times are tough you can find Jake on the front lines where it’s most difficult and dangerous. These are some of the qualities that made him the right choice for founder recently too.
We all have lives that sometimes interfere with our ability to be online much, or to have much to say when we’re here. When that happens, we still treasure each other’s company and value each other’s contributions to the guild. That’s what Knights do. We treat each other as Jake treats all of us: with kindness, compassion, humour, and a ferocious defense of our well-being, whatever that means in a given moment.
Jake, if you would, please designate the Great Building of your choice so that those so inclined may acknowledge all you do for the guild.
*We recognize there are many players in the guild that assume leadership roles and we also extend our gratitude to them as well. Many times, that help goes unseen and unrecognized. All Knights help make Knights Templar the great guild it is. Thanks to you all!

I am not as eloquent as Diana but I will try my best to put in words how much I appreciate this honor. KT has been the home since I started FOE and Jaims is the only world I play. I must say that I started this game because I am an avid gamer but as we grow older, playing PS or XBOX is no longer an option as I will only be asking for scolding at home for not using the time to help around instead. So this fills my time out at work. I thought I would grew out of it but eventually stayed because of KT, because of the people here. For that I am grateful. There are players that I wished to have met in real life and there are those who left the game that had a profound effect on me being here. But KT somehow always attracts good individual that shares the guild values and for that, it alwas felt like home. I must underscore that this kind of feeling is key to me and I believe to all of us here.
Translating that emotion, allows me to do the necessary for KT. I use to keep my attrition low since I had to make sure that the guild always have fighters for swaps or rotation (has been a long time since we do this). But as we grow stronger, I no longer have to worry about that anymore as we will almost always have hungry players to do the needed damage. I credit this to excellent work of Blaise and a number of members that are committed to recruiting and the player development. Hence, I do not mind to burn my attrition early if the guild needed it. I hope I will be able to play GBG on that basis.
I must apologize for my greatly reduced game time. I was stationed overseas before and I am my own boss there, in a sense. I plan my work between GBG (hahaha). I have stopped at the curb to lead/participate or even fighthing on the map at Walmart while doing grocery. But now, I am back to HQ where burden of work is really great and my game time is severely affected. But do not worry, I am not leaving so long KT remains KT. I frequently log on but found it very challenging to stay for long period. But I expect today and next week will be a cool down period for me and you will see more of me.
Looks that I wrote the story of my life in FOE but I want to share these thoughts here. (i) The key is to try to make sure that the guild comes first; (ii) Shared value and superb leadership team is what kept KT growing and a fun place to be; and (iii) I am and will always be a long time player.
More importantly, each member is important. KT will not be what it is now without each and everyone of you. I salute you comrades.
Thank you for the honor. If needed, my GB of choice is CF. Goods collection is stable but I really want to age up. But I am stubborn enough that I put a condition to reach Arc 130 and CF 130 before doing so.

Finally Jake!
I dunno, i got tears in my eyes 🙂
He is one of my best friends here where i can ask if i faced difficult situation since we both alsmot has the same background in RL. I have working with him many times doing gbg and trust me, whenever he is there, you will always feel that safe feeling inside.
I remember when i just joined KT and working at late night with you, with no hesitation you decided to do high attrition sector by your own and you asked me to stay put. Ofc i cant stay put for long time, you burned my spirit and we are doing heroic stuff together bhahahhaha
But at that moment, you already gave me the impression, the role model that i want to follow. For many times you step up to help and calm us down who led GBG, protector of Mia! (naah i am kidding lol). And from that moment as well, I always ask you everytime i faced confusing situation in KT (sorry jake, sometime this kid always loosing his way haha). And you always there calmed me down and let me know what to do. And yes, I was there when you burned your azz to get that sectors from MT lol.
I cant describe everything with a word on how grateful i am to have you right beside me. You have no idea how proud and happy i am when you called me your best friend. I love you man, you are the man and my handsomeness cant defeat you, not for now, i give you a day to have that most handsomeness bhahahaha
