Both the Divine Statue and the Water Garden require a lot of population to support them and provide less diplomacy than other diplomacy buildings. You waste a lot of space building them just to give you Deben that you don’t need. Use the space instead on goods buildings.
Each tile of the Path in the Sand costs 200 Deben, so move them rather than sell them unless you really don’t need that particular tile anymore.
Check the fan page for more information. In particular, be sure to look at the questline and plan ahead. You can save a lot of time by looking at the questline in advance and planning ahead or waste a lot of time by not doing this.

And then of course, what everybody cares about most from any settlement or event is the rewards. And the rewards are the best yet. The main reward is the Royal Bathhouse. It is 3 x 4 in size and at level 6, the Royal Bathhouse yields 12 FPs and a whopping 10 military units and 30 guild goods! These rewards make the Royal Bathhouse one of the best buildings in the game. The 10 military units will certainly help GBG and GvG fighters.

The time reward is the Ancient Obelisk. It is 2 x 2 in size and at level 4, the Ancient Obelisk yields 2 FPs, 4 goods and a 6% Defense for Attacking Armies (DA) bonus, making it the best 2 x 2 building in the game. Unlike Vikings or Japan, Egypt allows enough time so that you should be able to win the highest time reward every time without spending diamonds.

There are also 2 emissary slots. One of the emissaries yields 2 military units per day and another yields 1 FP per day. Combined with the Royal Bathhouse, that will give you an extra 12 military units per day!
I recommend Egypt to both new and experienced players. Experienced players have no advantage over new players in Egypt. If you haven’t done the other Cultural Settlements, I recommend doing Egypt first, before Vikings or Japan. Egypt also only requires you to complete 10 settlements, while Vikings and Japan both require more. If you follow these tips, you should be done with Egypt in less than 4 months total.
