This evening, we are gathering virtually to recognize the achievement of Baron. The title of Baron is the highest recognition a Knight Templar can achieve. It requires mastery of all aspects of this game, from fighting to goods production. One must demonstrate exceptional valor, diligence and generosity to achieve Baron.
This evening, we are recognizing Full Monty as Baron. The first eight criteria have been met. Tonight, he will donate 100,000 goods to the guild to meet the final criterion. Following that, we will donate FPs to Monty’s Arc and get it up a level.
Monty joined us in May of 2020 coming from Phoenix Nesting. When Monty came here, the guild changed forever and for the better. He brought with him a boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm that we all felt. He took his game to a high level here right away, first leveling his Arc and embracing GBG. Before he could fight, he did a huge number of negotiations to help in GBG, usually when we needed him most. He soon became one of our strongest fighters. But the number of fights he has done belies his contribution, as he is always one of the first to step up when help is needed most. Guild recognition was his idea – he started it and wrote the lion’s share of the guild recognitions that have touched so many of us. Although he has been a strong player himself, he has always put the guild and others first. His efforts in helping fill guild goods shortages are second to none. He demonstrated selflessness by visiting Paladins to help them no less than four times and Vanguard’s Fort and Iron Cross once each. To date, he is the only one in this game who I have had the privilege of meeting in life and I can tell you that he is even more impressive and engaging in person than online. It is a joy having him in this guild and I am honored to have him as a guildmate.
