This evening, we are gathering virtually to recognize the achievement of Baron. The title of Baron is the highest recognition a Knight Templar can achieve. It requires mastery of all aspects of this game, from fighting to goods production. One must demonstrate exceptional valor, diligence and generosity to achieve Baron.
To many of us, Eadyth has always been the guild mother. She has always gone above and beyond what could ever be expected to help us, whether it is getting guild goods we need, administering threads or resolving any problem that comes up. When I first joined the guild, she made a strong impression on me right away because of her generosity and dedication to the guild and all of us. I remember her spending diamonds on the Seige Camp right in front of our headquarters on the first day of GBG. As silly as it sounds now, I had never seen anyone do that before. She was one of the first of those to obtain a level 80 Arc in this guild and helped many who followed, including me. For the past few years, whenever we needed goods, she was usually the one we turned to. Not only has she been a prolific trader herself, but she trained the whole guild to learn to trade and trade well. She generously shared her knowledge of the market and ways to trade for our own and the guild’s benefit. While she has always put others and the guild before herself, her game has reached new heights new heights over time. She’s generous, tolerant of RL demands, funny, and a ferocious fighter who is always willing to take on the higher attrition sectors. And, whenever necessary, she steps up to do whatever necessary, even if it scares her to death, like running GBG. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that she was the one who founded Knights Den for us when we need a beak from active play. Whenever anybody needs help with something, it is usually Eadyth who helps. I am sure that I am omitting many things that she has done for all of us. It is a joy having her in this guild and I am honored to have her as a guildmate.
Thanks E, you haven’t had to scold be yet, and I know that not your focus for playing a good game. I also know that you are the benchmark of integrity and honor playing this game. I have not had to call on you for help, but I know you would be there for me if I needed.

She is its Heart and Soul, its Moral Compass and its Guiding Light. A true honor to count you among my guildmates and true friends in the game. I could throw every forge point that I have at your buildings, and it wouldn’t be enough. Thank you Eadyth!

Most games involve people that are worried about “winning”. What’s in it for me? How do I get ahead? Who can I take advantage of to make myslef look better???
Knights Templar is very fortunate to have a generous heart and that heart resides with Eadyth. She keeps us grounded and steers away from our worst selves. As aggresive as KT is, we are even more fair, more generous and more caring than any other guild – and that starts with Eadyth.
Not everyone bothers to think of those that can’t play. Those that get caught up in rl. Those that have to step back for a bit. They aren’t contributors so they fall by the wayside. Eadyth had the care and foresite to realize this is a regularly occuring part of the game because the game never ends. Sometimes things happen. So what did she do? She came up with a method to keep those players envolved and not forgotten. She takes newbies under her wing. I have known that embrace and will never forget it.
Advice, fps, trades of goods to get GBs to help your game. All of these things have touched each and every one of us. Advice, some that we are forever greatful to hear and some we wish we never had (those are generally reminders to be better ourselves).
Not every guild is as great as the Knights Templar. There are many reasons. But Eadyth is certainly the one that keeps us grounded and our better selves.

E is one of the best guild mates I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. We sometimes disagree as we have different outlooks on life. That’s sorta what makes it so rewarding to work with her. Her approach to the game helps me walk the straight and narrow. She is without a doubt guild first. I enjoy trying to get ahead of everyone so I rely on her advice to balance my game. It’s been my pleasure to play this silly game with E longer than most in the guild so I know what a great job she has done for a long time.
Back in the old guild days we had times when leadership just disappeared. E was one of those who stepped in and kept the guild headed in the right direction. We may not have even survived as a guild without her help and a handful of the old timers in this guild. This honor is one that is so well deserved.
And yes E had the first Arc 80 in the guild. I know because I was trying to beat her. She may be guild first but she is a truly skilled player as well.
