Set 2 roads pieces and build 7 huts (3 at a time). Don’t set more than 5 roads at this point or you will run out of cocoa beans. As each hut is completed, move it away from the roads along the edges fo the settlement. They won’t be linked to the embassy but that is not important. Complete the Hut Quest
Set 5 Honoring Sculptures for quest and delete.
With 7 huts complete and moved to the edges out of the way set one Veg Garden on the right of the embassy and two on the front using the 2 road segments to connect them to the embassy.
Wait 1 hour for gardens to be built and set production to 4 hours. At end of the 4 hour production Quest 4 will be complete.
Unlock Shrines. Sell two Veg gardens in front of embassy and replace with 4 shrines to start making cocoa beans. Set the remaining Veg garden on a 4 hour production. At this point Cocoa beans are your limiting factor so there is no point in keeping the two Veg gardens you sold. The goal is to unlock the Aviary so you can get access to the Market (mini-game) as fast as possible. Continue production until you accomplish that goal.
IF you get 4x production bonuses twice you can unlock Aviary immediately. Otherwise just keep producing. Roads can be rearranged to get a couple of huts back on the roads.
You will want 8 expansions in total (generally 2 with each good but never pay more than 15 goods for an expansion) Try to set expansions in sectors where the impediments are on the edges but you will get 5 impediment removal tools so plan where you will use the tools before you set your expansions. There are a couple of buildings that are 4×3 so an impediment on either the left or right edge of a sector may not have to be removed.
Maximize production of goods but to do that you must have sufficient Pop and Cocoa. It’s a balancing act. Enable and set the most efficient Cocoa and Housing that is available. Once you have sufficient goods it is often better to delete production in order to get diplomacy to unlock the next tech instead of just continuing with inferior tech. Delete – set the diplomacy – unlock the tech and rebuild otherwise you won’t finish in time. In some cases it is better to group your tech unlocking in groups of two or three so you can get the diplomacy necessary for all available tech at once. Other times it is better to unlock a tech ASAP. Normally it is pretty easy to tell the differnce in these two scenarios.
